The latest news around the church.
While remembering the past we are building for the future. We have obtained sponsors for all eleven sanctuary windows and we are now looking for sponsors for the leaded glass windows in the Narthex. The windows in the Narthex are much larger and more expensive to refurbish. We believe that it would be best to divide the windows into units of sponsorship. We have already beautifully refurbished four large windows in the lower level of the Narthex and we intend to divide each of these windows into two units of sponsorship. The cost of each unit of sponsorship will be approximately $3,000 and includes a bronze plaque. This is a unique and long-lasting opportunity to honour a cherished family member. If you are interested in sponsoring a leaded glass window in the Narthex, please contact Elvin Parker at 482-3407.
2012 Offering Envelopes are available for your pickup at the front entrance of the church.
We are currently investigating possible security solutions for the church property and regardless of the solution we decide to go with, the approach will continue to be not to keep valuables on sight. In the interim, we will be keeping key and code access limited to those individuals who already have it. Should you need to get into the church and it is not open, please contact one of the following individuals:
Doug Trewartha
Marilyn Seebach
Leslie Searles
Lori Lear
Jane Groves
Betty Young
Gary Black
Thank you for your patience as we work our way through this. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please contact Lori Lear.
Christian Education is looking for an adult leader for one other Sunday a month (not the end of the month) who would be interested in engaging the young people in faith exploration. If interested, please contact Rose Park, Chair of CE.
We delight in the faith, warmth, and goodwill that abound in our church on Sunday mornings and in all the other ongoing midweek groups and activities. Energy, empathy, and sincerity characterize our relationships – whether we always agree with each other is less important than that we are willing to engage with each other! If you have been a regular visitor at Clinton United for a while now and are contemplating joining our fellowship through profession of faith or membership transfer, we invite you to contact our minister.
...that members and adherents, who are no longer able to get out to church on Sunday, are still an important part of our community. Please let us know if a relative or friend of yours would like to be visited by one of our members or the minister, by calling Carol Finch at 519-482-9133.
