Hi everyone - Jessica, Maarten and Joan are on their way to Livingstone today - a town named after the famous explorer, which is situated close to Victoria Falls. They will travel 6 hours by coach bus to reach it, and will stay 2 or 3 nights - hoping to go to Botswana to the Chobe National Park where the herds of elephants will be down at the river and the hippos will be grunting and bullying each other about in the shallows. It will be a welcome break from the dust and squalor of Ng'Ombe.
Last night, Jessica sent these two photos of Blessing, a four yr. old who attends Kondwa Pre-school. Blessing has full-blown AIDS and has been away from school for 2 weeks. Yesterday she was well enough to come back to school and all were delighted to see her!
As you can see from the photos, she is tiny and fragile but still smiling!
